Featuring Heather Parcells & Lewis Cleale

Marvin Hamlisch’s life in music is notable for its incredible versatility as well as its substance. As a composer he’s won virtually every major award that exists: Oscars, Grammys, Emmys, Golden Globes, a Tony and even a Pulitzer (“A Chorus Line”). Whether it was the musical adaptations for “The Sting,” “Sophie’s Choice” or “Bananas,” his role as principal pops conductor for numerous orchestras or while serving as musical director for Barbara Streisand, his underlying belief is that music brings people together and it “makes a difference.”

Special guests for the evening are Broadway stars Heather Parcells and Lewis Cleale. Ms. Parcells is a former Newport News resident and Hampton Roads Academy graduate.
